Morning
Skies near the Arctic Circle
Not all painted skies are vibrant and dramatic. This pastel scene was taken from the stone barrier that protects the city of Nome from the Bering Sea. The local children dashed about in shorts enjoying the balmy 60 degree weather while I, Arizonan that I have become, huddled in my welcome jacket. Nome is only 153 miles south of the Arctic Circle, so this photo could just as well have been taken around midnight. ******* |

Lesson
Notes
I chose soft pastels for this lesson - a change from my usual bright pages. This page is made with two tables, divided into many cells. For years, I've used simple segmented tables as a basis for my webpages. However, I found this lesson challenging, especially when initally, I tried to design this page with only one table! If you click here you can see another page using tables - and more about Nome. |
