It was the middle
of April. Snowbirds were leaving to avoid the heat. And then the weather changed.
Children in Scottsdale made angels in the snow in their back yards. Locals trouped
to the desert to gawk at the foreign white stuff and take photos of snow on the
cactus. By afternoon, the snow on the desert was gone. It clung to the nearby
Superstition Mountains for another day before it too disappeared. Now, we have
only our photos to prove it really happened.
